Qian Xue Sen (11 December 1911 – 31 October 2009), was the father of Chinese rocketry, the leader of the research that produced the nation’s first ballistic missiles and its first satellite. In the United States, though not so publicly celebrated, he was no less valuable, he was a pioneer in American jet and rocket technology.
