贝多芬 Beethoven (Bilingual)

Simplified Chinese Characters and Pinyin with English translation. Bilingual Mandarin Chinese Storybook (36 Pages).

Ludwig van Beethoven, a German composer and pianist, remains one of the most recognized and influential musicians of this period, and is considered to be one of the greatest composers of all time.

Beethoven’s childhood was perhaps the most difficult period of his life. Born into a musical family from Bonn, his father was a failing composer and an abusive violent alcoholic. After the death of his mother when he was 16, things took a turn for the worse. Beethoven’s father would force him to play music for hours on end, sometimes even in the middle of night when he returned from the bars drunk and aggressive. Despite the abuse of his father, Beethoven did become famous as his love for music never faltered.

This book tells the story of Beethoven in simple sentences in Mandarin Chinese with pinyin which will help children at the intermediate level to read by themselves and for reading aloud with beginners new to the language.
